Military Recruiters

I have a client who lives in an ICF/MR and attends public school. An ICF/MR facility is the license term for group homes that serve persons with mental retardation.

My client was recruited at school by an army recruiter. The recruiter visited my client at his group home. The recruiter has persisted in his actions toward my client despite being told that the young man is under court ordered guardianship and is therefore unable to legally sign contracts. All of this makes one wonder about several things,


1. The vulnerability of persons with significant disabilities when
dealing with government agents.


2. Just how well is our military functioning if they are recruiting a
person with significant cognitive and mental health impairments?
