More Picnic Thanks

There are so many people to thank for the success of the event last night that I don’t really know where to start.  I especially want to thank Diane Hellie and Katherine Speer.  These two spent the entire Day helping me out in the Kitchen. 

Caroline Hiller and Jeff Lee were invaluable helping me set out the food and arranging the serving table and Xai and Chris set up the tables in record time Not to mention Katie who did so much of the decorating. Lawanna Holmes, once again you were there when and where I needed you.

Thanks to all the kitchen crew.

Thank you, as well, to everone who donated food for the event.  Kudos to all of you.  I know that Kim Edson brought in a delicious Bundt cake and Loyal Nelson made the flag cake that was almost too good looking to cut (but we forced ourselves.) Heidi the fruit trays and the hummus were great.  At this point I lost track of who did what, Diane made the fruit salad and the Caesar Salad and That’s where I lost track.  It was all delicious though and

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:  I can’t begin to thank Bev Allen who isn’t even a DFL’r for all her help.  She washed dishes and was there LONG after everyone else had gone home, sweeping and mopping up spilled Lemonade.  I am so sorry we didn’t get that done.  It is something we as a group need to remember, Just putting stuff away isn’t the end of the cleanup no matter where we are holding an event.  I feel real guilty about leaving that for Bev to do.  THANK YOU BEV!!
