Olmsted DFL Meeting Tuesday/National Hunger Awareness Day June 6

This is a reminder that the Olmsted DFL Central Committee Meeting is this Tuesday.  National Hunger Awareness Day is Tuesday June 6.  Providing food to needy people starts at home so the Olmsted County DFL will be collecting food to donate to Channel One starting Tuesday and continuing throughout the State DFL Convention in Rochester June 9 - 11.  You can donate food during any of the following times:

Tuesday May 16 7:00PM: Olmsted County DFL Central Committee meeting

Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00 - 5:30PM: Olmsted County DFL office

Saturday June 3 2:00PM - 5:00PM: Olmsted County DFL office grand opening
June 9 - 11: State DFL Convention in Rochester

There will be a public Town Hall Forum hosted by Channel One on the Politics of Hunger on Tuesday June 6.  Additional information on the Town Hall Forum and the Olmsted County DFL office grand opening will be posted in separate notices once the details are available.

Please bring one or more food items to the meeting to donate to Channel One for National Hunger Awareness Day Tuesday June 6.  Items needed the most are:

-- Hot and dry cereal
-- Hearty (chunky soup)
-- Tuna Fish
-- Peanut Butter
-- Macaroni and Cheese
-- Canned or boxed main dishes
-- Rice, macaroni, spaghetti
-- Canned chili and stew

Hunger: A choice no one in Minnesota should have to make!
