Our Government Situation Is Worsening Daily

Even as battles in the U.S. Senate are in progress to try to prevent America from becoming a complete dictatorship, the situation in American Foreign Policy is clearly failed and is a total mess. Presently the Supreme Court, the U.S. House, and the Senate, plus the White House are in total GOP control. Only the right of filibuster prevents a complete dictatorship from going into effect. The GOP now wants to remove the right of filibuster thus ending all opposition to their agenda.
In that regards, Senator Reid needs the support of all Democrats and he gave a phone conference today to make his point about how much he need Americans to demand that U.S. Senators do not permit the filibuster rules to change. These rules are the last line of defense against a total Bush dictatorship and takeover of the U.S. government. You can hear his conference call at the link below:

Meanwhile in Iraq people are being killed in ever increasing numbers. Bloodshed is reaching intense proportions and is rising. Iraq is a lawless land and America is unable to keep the peace in it.
The British have proved that the Iraq War was a preconceived idea, not based upon WMD concerns, and that illegal invasion was going to happen in Iraq regardless of the UN.
That proof has unseated Tony Blair’s Party in Britain and soon he will be gone and it has also left Bush with a lot of blood on his hands to account for. More than 1,600 U.S. military are dead, thousands more are injured, wounded, and disfigured for life, while between 25,000 and 27,000 Iraqi civilians are dead, many that were women and children.
Bush has invaded Iraq illegally and he is violation of UN resolutions concerning aggression. The occupancy of Iraq is also illegal according to the UN.
It was also alleged that Bush and his Administration are complicit in the oil for food scandal and are involved in bribes and this while Saddam was still in office.
$65 Billion dollars of American money has gone missing in Iraq under Bush and he cannot account for it. That would be enough to keep all of the U.S. bases scheduled for closing, instead opened and manned for the next 20 years with about $15 Billion left over for schools across America.
More evidence is accumulating that Saudi Arabia and Syria are significant contributors to terrorism around the world and yet Bush has done nothing to deal with them in spite of all of his speeches about fighting terrorism.
More charges are being leveled of prisoners being sent to Uzbekistan and Egypt for contract torture.
It was also found that U.S. human rights violations are not decreasing but are increasing and that those who are involved are being promoted while a few enlisted people are being tried in what many allege is a cover-up operation. Not a single officer has been tried.
The situation in human rights violations by the Bush Administration is now so bad that it makes it easy for those of the Muslim faith to believe the incorrect report from Newsweek that the Quoran has been defiled and that in turn has lead to riots and loss of life in Afghanistan. Yes, Newsweek was wrong but so is Bush wrong in creating a bad human rights record that makes it easy for people to believe the charges.
The UN Human Rights Commission has protested to Bush but it has had no effect so far.
Human Rights First and the ACLU have civil suits against Donald Rumsfeld for Human Rights violations.
The principle of Nuclear Non-Proliferation has gone bust under Bush and nations like North Korea, Pakistan, India, and Iran, routinely flip the bird to the U.S. Government on the subject of nuclear arms reduction. As a result, the safety of the human race is now in real jeopardy.
The Bush Administration wants to send John Bolton to represent America at the UN over the objection of many Senators, from both Parties, who have shown that he is not morally fit to hold the job. That will come to a showdown this week too in the U.S. Senate.
In my lifetime, the American government has never been such a mess and it is getting worse not better. Truly nothing about the Bush presidency has been good for America.
The U.S. economy is in very big trouble.
Almost 2 Million people cannot find employment.
New grads can’t find jobs.
1.4 Million Americans are without healthcare and Bush is proposing nothing to fix the problem. The earliest GOP date to address this is 2009 if it’s a big issue during the 2008 presidential election.
Consumer confidence is at an all time low.
Now every attempt is being made to gut Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security by the GOP controlled House.
Job creation is very meager and is slowing as oil prices are running away and the American Dollar is being devalued.
Capital investment has all but stopped in America and the earnings reports are sad for stockholders.
Credit Card interest rates are gouging the public, bank interest rates are very low, and savings has been discouraged as a result.
The stock market has not recovered from the fall that it took back in 2001.
Oil prices have doubled under Bush.
Abroad, it is difficult to find a nation that Bush is welcome to travel to. Most of the citizens of the world revile Bush. Recently an attempt on his life was made.
CEO’s want to end their contribution share to Social Security, also they want to end their being taxed by the IRS, and they want to be allowed to embezzle American pension funds from workers in programs that they have intentionally under funded. They want Bush to support all of this and Bush is doing so in return for campaign money. The U.S. Government wants to embezzle the Social Security Trust funds and Bush is abetting that effort.
GOP Corruption continues as friends of Bush/Chaney continue to be awarded government contracts on a no bid basis and while scandals sweep across the U.S. House with Tom DeLay and his multiple ethics violations the subject of even more GOP scandal.
The GOP itself is in protest over much of Bush’s antics and the result is that little to no legislation is passing. Democrats will slow down the legislative pace even more if America becomes a dictatorship. The outcome of that will be known in just a few days.
Democrats were surely right in their judgment of Bush during the 2004 campaign and now some legal means to help him and his Administration to step down needs to be found.
In our judgment if Time Magazine had a cover for the most hated person in the world, Bush would be a candidate for it.
Bush is not good for America and his job satisfaction ratings have plummeted to illustrate this point and even among his GOP supporters his approval ratings are plunging.
Soon Americans will stand up and say to their government: ENOUGH!
