Countdown to shutdown (Star Tribune)
I consider DFL legislators who are holding out—against tremendous
pressure—for a reasonable budget plan that includes restoring state
income-tax levels to be heroes! Right now the governor is “tying
Minnesota to the tracks” with his antitax stance and his irresponsible
accounting shifts. And a looming budget crisis is barreling down the
tracks toward us. I say, “Get out of the way, governor, and let our
heroes save our beloved Minnesota!”
Pam Sabey, Minneapolis.
