Parades
06/23/2005
Wow! what a great group of people that turned out to help in the Viola Gopher and Elgin Cheese Day parade. Andy had a great showing and the DFL float had wonderful people working the crowds.
The Cheese Day parade was today and I send a huge thank you to Allen, Marilee Sexton, and daughter, Ann Murphy Spicer, Wendy Dennison, Tash (exchange student from New Zealand), Holly Rud, Cory Speer, Diane Hellie, Cindy Swessel-Hofer and daughter Courtney, Anne Skiba with Lent, a chestnut American Saddlebred, Kayla Speer, with Checkie, a palomino American uarter Horse. We had an awesome beautiful unit to show off our DFL pride.
Andy’s unit had a huge group of people walking with him also. So the DFL message was being well spread and I just love it. It was a warm one, but it was a beautiful day for a parade. Thanks to all that turned out and helped out. It was wonderful and I greatly appreciate it. You are the ones that make it a success.
Next parade will be July 4th in Stewartville parade time around 7 PM. Mark your calendars. We need a lot of support for this one since this is Kuslie country and I would guess he is going to be running against Andy in 2006.
Again, we want to make sure we put in a good showing so everyone knows that the DFL party is a live and active and we aren’t forgetting them. We’re working for them not just for candidates. Also, I understand that there is a fund raiser for Andy at the Judy Hanson home so stop there after the parade.
Thank you very much for all you do,
Katherine C Speer
