Dear DFLer,

John Kerry and his team at Keeping America's Promise are putting together a cool radio ad campaign to pressure key Republicans who keep stonewalling an end to the war. They've invited MoveOn members to join in. The idea is to use radio to expose these key Republicans in their own backyards.

Here is the twist: John Kerry wants YOU to write the script for the radio ad.

It's a completely people-powered ad campaign. No overpaid media consultants making the spot or choosing where to run it. It's all done by you.

The radio ads should make clear that blocking an end to the war means political extinction. Click below to submit a script:

A 30-second radio ad is about 65 words long. You come up with the message, the Keeping America's Promise community will vote, and your ad could be on the air in just a few short weeks.

Here's how the contest will work:

You send in a script for a 30-second radio spot (that's about 65 words long).

John Kerry and the team at Keeping America's Promise will select the top 20 submissions.

Everyone will get to vote on the scripts.

The winning ad will air in Republican states.

Folks who donate to air the ads will be able to choose which states they think the ad should run in.

You can make the spot funny, or serious, or satirical, or hard-hitting. Whatever you want to do. You can make it a personal story from your life (maybe you know someone who served in Iraq or have a family member there), or you can make a factual case on why voters should consider someone else because of this issue, or anything else you'd like. It's all up to you.

Click below to submit your script:

You have until 12 midnight ET on Saturday, August 11th to get your script in—so it's time get planning and writing!

Good luck.

Thanks for all you do.
