People’s Legislature Tuesday June 28

Dear Sowers of Justice and JustFaith participants:

On Tuesday, June 28, at 12 noon, we are inviting you to be part of an
exciting action in the capitol rotunda. Several organizations in the
faith community, the nonprofit sector, and the labor movement are
convening a “people’s legislature”.

Our view is that legislative leaders need to hear the voice of real
citizens who will provide the vision we need to move forward. On
Tuesday, the “speaker” of the People’s Legislature will put forward a
compromise proposal for raising the revenue we need to meet public
obligations to education, health care, child care, housing, and other
commitments. Members of the people’s legislature will then vote on
the proposal, sending a clear message to legislators and the Governor
that we want a solution that honors who we are and what we value as
Minnesotans.

We need everyone who can join us to be at the capitol at noon on Tuesday.
We will be done by 12:30. If you can participate in this action,
