Political Calendar Changes Seem Okay

I see the changes in the political calendar for the Election Primaries as a good thing for Democrats from a strategic viewpoint. As the calendar gets front loaded we can see that the presidential candidates will be selected and settled and that the remainder of the period can be used for a discussion of the substance of the issues facing America by those candidates.
Another good thing is that with the presidential candidates being a settled matter we can put more focus on Congress. We need to gain more seats in the Senate and in the House and that means contesting every seat that is in play with gusto. It is also a good time for us to retire any Democrats having clouds hanging over them -- people such as Rep. Jefferson of Louisiana. The FBI must be encouraged to either prosecute him or else to drop their case. We owe it to ourselves to have a clean slate that is above reproach.
Democrats have worked hard to get to a point where we reclaim the loyalty of American voters. We need to now consolidate what we have and advance to grow further. As we do then we will have a better opportunity to change what we dislike about GOP government.
The next two years will be all uphill for our Party because so much is at stake. We have proven ourselves to be up to the task and now it’s a matter of energy.
