Presidential Medical Care

07/25/2007

As Mr. Bush turned over power to Dick Chaney and underwent a colonoscopy it reminds us that his healthcare was paid for by American taxpayers. He received no bill. It was paid for by our government. He received government services that he would deny to others. Dick Chaney has been getting the same kind of healthcare too.

It was not free, it was paid for out of taxes. Bush would call it "socialized medicine." We would call it "civilized healthcare."

He had no HMO to deal with and to possibly to deny him his needed treatment.

He had no insurance pre-approvals to obtain.

He received no bill for the procedure.

Nobody complained it was an elective procedure.

Nor did he have a cap or a co-pay to deal with.

He didn’t even have to file a form.

As Roger Moore points out with film “Sicko,” he is getting the same treatment that France gives to all of their citizens but that Mr. Bush would deny to his fellow Americans.

Yes, it’s “Sicko” indeed.

This is a big weekend for viewing "Sicko" if you want to see it becasue it is opening in 1200 more theaters this weeked but is in contention for screen space with the summer blockbuster films, so don't bet it will be around forever. See it while you can.
