PRESS CONFERENCE INVITATION Monday 5/23
An invitation to attend a press conference from Southeast Minnesota Cares and DFLer Bob Maegerlein --
The press conference address is indeed in Rochester, for those of you who wrote back to ask! Please join us if you’re able. This is a very important message that we want to get out at a time when the Senate and the House are proposing very different visions for the future of Minnesota. Simply put, will our leaders invest in families and communities around the state, or will they continue to strip us of vital supports? Help us make the case for investment in our best resources—the people and communities of Minnesota. ~Michelle

SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA CARES:
My friends, this is an important opportunity to advocate for our Minnesota poor. Bring your body to the conference for a half hour and visibly support our efforts.
Southeast Minnesota Cares, a coalition of non-profits, faith groups and others advocating quality of life for all Minnesotans, to draw attention to state cuts to Olmsted County services and consequences for local families, will host a press conference Monday, May 23, at 9:30 a.m. at Innsbruck Townhomes, in the playground, 1530 50 St NW, RAIN OR SHINE.
The press conference will place a personal face on the impact of cuts, providing reporters an opportunity to meet local families affected by legislative decisions. County officials are invited to attend, as are representatives from several non-profit organizations who serve those affected.
“Southeast Minnesota Cares is a network of citizens representing faith communities, non-profit organizations, and ourselves. We are compelled to advocate for the well-being, self-sufficiency and economic stability for Minnesota’s individuals and families and to promote fairness, social justice, and the dignity and worth of all persons regardless of ethnicity or income.
Thanks, Bob Maegerlein, member, SE MN Cares
