Public Files Show Kennedy Drastically Slashed Television Ads

10/28/2006

ST. PAUL (10/27/06) – With only 11 days to go before the U.S. Senate election, public files confirmed today that Congressman Mark Kennedy is cutting back his broadcast-television buy this week and next, showing that Kennedy’s money and support is drying up statewide, despite the Kennedy Campaign’s denials to the media.

Minnesota DFL Chair Brian Melendez released the following statement:

“It looks like Mark Kennedy’s money is running out. With his financial support dwindling and his ads disappearing across the state, expect more desperate gimmicks and political stunts from Mark Kennedy next week.”

Public records show that Kennedy has cut his overall broadcast television buy significantly from last week, while Amy Klobuchar has increased hers. Most startling are cuts of 25-50% in Mankato, Fargo/Moorhead and Duluth from last week.
