Quick Update on Operation PCR

01/18/2008

Dear Friends,

I wanted to share an update from Andy O'Leary, DFL Executive Director. The results from "Operation PCR" are really encouraging, but we've got more ground to cover before our precinct caucuses on February 5, now less than three weeks away.

If even a small fraction of everyone who got this email contributed their fully refundable $50 to the DFL Party, we'd raise the $20,000 we need to make absolutely certain our caucuses will set a record for being the biggest and most effective ever. We're almost there, but we need the extra help.

Please take a minute right now to give $50 to your party.

Thanks, and more soon,

Brian

P.S. I know it might sound crazy, but trust me, the Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program really works.

Subject: Caucus/PCR update

Brian, quick update on caucus and PCR. Caucus prep is going very well and word on the street is that attendance on Feb. 5 will be through the roof. 2008 is shaping up great for Dems so far.

Caucuses are our first major outlay of the year, and current estimate is that the party will need to bring in an extra $20K between now and then. These will be the most effective dollars we spend all year when you consider how much we get out of it in new volunteers, energy, etc.

The way to go is to keep stressing the PCR program, which a lot of folks are just finding out about. So far the grassroots have really been coming through, and if the trend keeps up beyond Feb. 5, we can ramp up our full '08 operation sooner than planned, esp. by plowing more resources into the grassroots and talking to voters earlier than ever before.

I'll keep you posted. Let's make a priority of bringing in that extra $20K by 2/5. Andy

PS – The extra cash wouldn't hurt when we file our first FEC report of the presidential cycle on Jan. 31, either, in terms of showing the Republicans we mean business.
