Pawlenty staunchly opposed raising taxes, which is bound to be a place where he and some Democrats part ways.


However, Rep. Tom Rukavina, DFL-Virginia, said Pawlenty has forced fees, tuition and other expenses up while saying he opposes tax increases.


"I think it is important for Democrats . . . to say this four-year scam is over," Rukavina said. "He can call them fees, he can call them fee-fie-fo-fum, it is $1 billion in tax increases."
