Rep. Liebling Has Success With MN Capital Investment Bill
03/28/2007
Paul Munnis
Congratulations to State Representative Tina Liebling on the passage of the Minnesota Capital Spending Bill in the MN House. The Bill provides tangible benefits to Rochester in terms of investment in upgrades to the Mayo Civic Center and provides major funds for capital improvements for the University of Minnesota and MnSCU schools, upgrades at the Minnesota Zoo, plus funding for several statewide transit projects.
The legislation is seen as part of a plan to turn Rochester into a premier meeting place in the State of Minnesota and this is an investment in infrastructure upgrade that will go a long way towards meeting the goal.
Rochester has excellent hotel facilities, good dining places, and an International airport, all quality foundations for a premier meeting place. Plans are to further improve the base as a part of community planning efforts and to obtain substantial revenue improvements due to convention and meeting opportunities in our State.
Tina Liebling is the chief author of 16 pieces of major legislation and has co-authored another 58 Bills.
Her productivity is high, her knowledge of Legislative processes is proven and her success is obvious.
Thus Rep. Liebling has proven herself a mature and capable lawmaker, capable of representing her district and our area with distinction.
In real life nothing succeeds like success and Rep. Tina Liebling is success oriented. The benefits of her work to our community and to her District are obvious and celebrated. We are proud of Tina’s accomplishments at St. Paul.
