We have been running a series of perspectives articles on the workload of Rochester DFL State Representatives and Legislators so that people can appreciate the large work load that each of these elected officials has taken on in order to represent us.
They work hard when they get to St. Paul as our elected officials and the list of House Bills that Rep. Kim Norton is responsible for clearly shows the labor involved.
Rep. Kim Norton has been working hard at representing her District and below is the list of the 16 Bills for which she is the Chief Author. Rep. Norton is also the co-author of another 72 House Bills.
HF2275 Dental providers critical access reimbursement modified, and additional staff required to administer critical access dental program.
HF2118 Smoking prohibited near entrances to public places.
HF2027 Physical therapists licensing requirements modified, and penalties imposed.
HF1981 Maternal and Child Health Advisory Task Force expiration date extended.
HF1698 Scholar loan program established to encourage teacher diversity in schools, revolving account established, and money appropriated.
HF1582 Radioactive material license renewal fee eliminated, ionizing radiation-producing equipment fees established, and x-ray equipment operating requirements modified.
HF1115 Local government aid distribution mechanism amended to decrease volatility.
HF0993 Radon control federal building codes adopted.
HF0990 Parent and family involvement school district policies required.
HF0984 Student ACT and SAT entrance test fees reimbursed, and money appropriated.
HF0982 Independent School District No. 535, Rochester, property tax levy certification deadline date extended.
HF0918 Essential community provider designation extended.
HF0877 Speech-language pathologists loan forgiveness program and account established, and money appropriated.
HF0785 Parental contribution for services for persons with developmental disabilities modified.
HF0634 State Children's Health Insurance Program; Congress memorialized by resolution to support and reauthorize the State Children's Health Insurance Program.
HF0624 Rochester; National Volleyball Center phase II expansion funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
