Rep. Walz Reaches Out to Constituents

(Mankato, MN) - In order to ensure that citizens across Minnesota's 1st Congressional District have access to the resources his office provides, Rep. Tim Walz will open his mobile office this week with a stop in Winona. Regular stops in Owatonna and Worthington will begin in March.

Walz's staff will begin a rotation of cities in southern Minnesota, starting on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. The Walz Mobile Office will be in Winona at City Hill from 9am to noon. Appointments can be made in advance for all mobile office stops by calling 507-388-2149. Walk-ins are welcome.

Staff will be on hand to meet with interested groups, take comments or answer questions form individuals. Constituents who are having trouble with any federal agency are encouraged to stop by, as Walz staff may be able to help resolve the situation.

"It is my first priority to make sure that my constituents know my office exists to meet their needs. My mobile office will travel to cities that are not in close proximity to my Mankato and Rochester offices. I hope that citizens will find this a convenient way to express their opinion on issues and to receive assistance with any conflict they may have with the federal government," said Walz.

The Walz mobile office will have regular stops in Winona, Owatonna and Worthington. Additional stops may be added at a later date. Communities interested in scheduling a mobile office stop should call Walz's Mankato office.

Worthington:

The Walz Mobile Office will be in Worthington on the first Wednesday of every month from 9am-5pm, starting in March.
