Dear Friend:

In this campaign, we are following the rule that “every action has an equal and opposite reaction.” To that end, we began running a new t.v. ad today that responds to Governor Pawlenty’s ridiculous claim that I am responsible for the steep health insurance premium increases approved by his Administration.

Tim Pawlenty is the first Minnesota Governor in history not to honor Minnesota’s campaign spending limits.  Accordingly, he is able to raise and spend an unprecedented amount of money in “swiftboat”-type ads.  There is a new poll out tonight that shows me with a slight lead over the Governor.  We can win this election if we raise sufficient funds to stay competitive with the Governor on the airwaves.

Please help me raise $25,000 by making an online donation today.  This will be sufficient funds to keep our new ad on the air tomorrow.  It is important that we do this so that the Governor’s attacks do not go unchallenged.
