Take a stab at balancing the state budget

Minnesota Public Radio launched its 2005 Budget Balancer to enable Minnesotans to create their own vision of how the state should spend and raise revenues and balance its budget. 

Participants can makes changes in spending and revenue, using 100 different options available on the website, and see the consequences of any budget proposal.  Those who want to try their hand at this should go to

The Budget Balancer will be posted there until the end of the 2005 Legislative Session in May.
