Without question, hybrid cars are the hot thing these days, but are you ready for a “trybrid?” California- based car maker ZAP (which stands for Zero Air Pollution) is marketing a car that can run on three different energy sources—gas, electric, and alcohol.
The company has contracted with Brazilian car manufacturer OBVIO for the U.S. distribution of a pair of trybrid automobiles by 2007. The cars use “flexible fuel” engine technology, and feature computer sensors that adjust to whatever mix of gasoline or ethanol is in their fuel tanks.
