The winners
10/18/2007
Dear DFLers,
Drum roll please...
Clare from Beaumont, Texas; Glenda from Spring Hill, Kansas; and David from Melrose Park, Illinois are the winners of our debate contest and will be traveling to New York to watch the October 30 debate with President Clinton and John Grisham.
We owe such a huge debt of gratitude to Clare, Glenda, David, and everyone who has helped to make our campaign such a success so far. Not only did you help us raise more than any other candidate last quarter, but just last week you committed to volunteer more than 1,000,000 hours. Every time we ask for your help, you beat our expectations. It means so much to Hillary and all of us working on the campaign to know you're there with us.
And although you can't be in the room with President Clinton, John Grisham, Clare, Glenda, and David, you can get coverage of the debate watch event from Internet Director Peter Daou, who will be posting live reports on our website.
To join President Clinton, Peter, and our winners at the debate, visit our website to sign up. We'll send you a reminder the day of the debate:

Thank you again for all you do to help our campaign. We couldn't do it without you.

Hillary for President
P.S. Clare, Glenda, and David all wanted to share how excited they are about the debate and about Hillary with you. Here's what they have to say:
Clare: "Obviously, I think it's important for America and the world that a Democrat wins the White House. Hillary's my choice because she has the best experience and the deepest knowledge of the issues. She is a leader ready to repair America's standing in the world, put the economy back on track, and end the Iraq war with diplomacy and patience."
David: "I am SO excited to meet former President Bill Clinton and the added bonus of meeting John Grisham! Many of my friends are jealous. I voted for President Clinton twice and was very proud of everything he did while in office and still am, watching all of the good things he's been doing. Now, it's GO HILLARY!"
Glenda: "I believe Hillary has the qualities to get things done for the American people, to make America the best place to live, and to help America get along with the rest of the world."
