Tomorrow, vote for change
11/06/2006
Dear Editor,
Election day is upon us!
Tomorrow, Minnesotans will go to the polls and elect our next U.S. Senator.
We began this race with a deep faith in the people of this state and the power of democracy to renew our nation. After months of crisscrossing our state talking to Minnesotans, that faith is now stronger than ever. Whatever challenges we may face in the years ahead, there is no question in my mind that we will meet them.
In the meantime, our task is simple: it’s time to vote! Click here to find your polling location.
Now is the time to make your voice heard. Whatever else you do tomorrow, make sure that you take the time to vote—and then make sure that family, friends and neighbors vote as well.
There is just too much at stake this election not to let your voice be heard. From changing course in Iraq to breaking our nation’s dependence on foreign oil, the choices we make in Washington in the next two years will be felt for generations. This is your opportunity to decide whether our nation will continue with the failed policies of the past, or whether we will choose a new course worthy of the people of this nation.
The stakes are high, and the time to act is now. So, whatever else you do tomorrow, please make sure that you take the time to vote. Then, find that favorite aunt or uncle of yours who never votes and bring them with you to the polls. Offer your neighbor a ride to the polls. Do whatever it takes to make sure that everyone you know takes the time to participate in our great democracy and vote.
Once again, thank you for all the support you have offered me during this campaign. It has been a privilege to be your candidate for Senate—and together we will bring change to Washington.
Sincerely,
Amy Klobuchar
