With Health Policy Expert Kip Sullivan and Mark Liebow, M.D., M.P.H Consultant in Medicine, Mayo Clinic

The Town Hall Forum will offer a unique opportunity to learn about the health care crisis. The presentation will focus on making health care affordable, accessible, and accountable as related to cost containment. Discussion including a question and answer session will follow.

The forum is open to the public and we invite all to attend and participate in this timely debate.

About the Speakers:

Kip Sullivan, a Rochester native and one of Minnesota’s leading advocates for universal health care, has spent the past two decades researching the U.S. health care system. He has a JD from Harvard Law School and has written nearly 100 articles on health policy; many of which appeared in national newspapers, magazines and journals such as the Los Angeles Times, The Nation, the New England Journal Of Medicine, the New York Times. He is a member of the steering committee of the Minnesota Universal Health Care Coalition which includes the Minnesota Farmers Union, the League of Women Voters, MAPE, the Minnesota Nurses Association, and Physicians for a National Health Program.

Dr. Mark Liebow has been teaching, writing and speaking about health policy for over thirty years. He earned an MPH from the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. He has been chair of the Health Policy Committee for the Society of General Internal Medicine 1998-2001 and has served on policy committees for several professional organizations. He has been a general internist at Mayo Clinic for eleven years and is an Assistant Professor at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is a member of Physicians for a National Health Program.
