Subject: [WatCoDFL] Troop Withdrawal Resolution
To:
The following resolution was passed unanimously by the Watonwan County
DFL Party Unit at it's meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2007.
------------------------------
TROOP WITHDRAWAL RESOLUTION
Submitted by Archie Pearson
WHEREAS. The Watonwan County DFL supports our troops around the world and
prays for their safety and early return from Iraq, we realize that we are
living in some very serious times and it is our hope that our national
leaders make wise decisions for the good of our nation and the world. We
are a divided allegiance at home; wary (perhaps weary) allies abroad;
growing hatred of an increasing number of enemies; and involved in a war
that will not be won.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that our troops be returned home no later than
December of 2007 and be it further resolved that there be no further
increase in troops sent to Iraq.
