The Party will be sponsoring a Unity Dinner on Saturday 16 September 2006. The dinner will be held at 7 p.m., following a reception at 6 p.m., in downtown St. Paul at the Xcel Center.

As we all know, Minnesota is a battleground state this year. The DFL Party is fighting for an open seat in the United States Senate, two open seats in Congress (and then some), two legislative caucuses within the margins, and a governorship and three other constitutional offices held by weak Republican incumbents. Uniting the Party behind our nominees after a spirited primary will be critical to these fights. This dinner is therefore scheduled for the weekend after the primary election, which occurs on Tuesday 12 September.
