Upcoming Twin Cities events

There are lots of Wellstone-related events in the Twin Cities coming up:

Tomorrow (Tuesday, October 18) at 7:00 pm, Jeff Blodgett will speak at the Suburban World Theater about our new book, Politics the Wellstone Way: How to Elect Progressive Candidates and Win on Issues . (To learn more, click here.)

On Wednesday, October 19 at 5:00 pm, Blodgett will discuss the book at the University of Minnesota Bookstore in the Coffman Union.

On Thursday, October 20, the History Theatre’s RAW STAGES presents Wellstone! a new play about Senator Paul Wellstone by Mark Rosenwinkel.  The play is part of the History Theatre’s New Works Festival. The show starts at 7:30 pm, with a reception at 6:00.  Tickets are $10 for each show or $25 for a festival pass.  The Wellstone green bus will be there, and we hope you will be too!  Click here to learn more. 

Also on October 20 at 7:00 pm , Bill Lofy will read and answer questions about his new biography of Paul Wellstone at Micawber’s Bookstore in St. Paul.  He also reads from his book on October 21 at 7:00 pm Amazon Bookstore in Minneapolis, and on October 25 at 7:30 at the Barnes and Noble/Galleria in Edina.  Click here for more information.

On Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 pm , attend the premiere of The Magic Green School Bus, a new half hour documentary about the late Paul Wellstone produced by kids at Lake Country Montessori School in Minneapolis.  It’s at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul and is free for people of all ages.
