Walz announces Fall 2007 Mobile Office Schedule

(Mankato, MN) - Rep. Walz today announced the Fall 2007 schedule for his Mobile Office. Rep. Walz's staff will be on hand at each stop to meet with interested groups, take comments, or answer questions from individuals. The Congressman encourages any constituent who is having trouble with a federal agency to attend, as his office may be able to help resolve the situation.
"My first priority is to make sure that my constituents know my office exists to meet their needs. My mobile office regularly visits cities that are not in close proximity to my Mankato and Rochester offices in order to provide constituents with an opportunity to express their concerns or request assistance," said Walz. "In particular, I hope constituents affected by the flooding will consider visiting my Owatonna or Winona Mobile Office or my permanent Rochester office if we can assist them with accessing disaster recovery resources. The flood victims have put up with untold hardships in the past several weeks. Getting help from their congressman shouldn't be one of them, so my staff will travel to them instead of vice versa."
The Walz Mobile Office will be in Worthington on the first Wednesday of each month, in Winona every other Wednesday and in Owatonna the third Thursday of each month. Appointments can be made in advance for all mobile office stops by calling 507-388-2149. Walk-ins are welcome.
