WALZ TO COMMEMORATE MEMORIAL DAY AT 3 LOCATIONS

(Nicollet, Mankato and Luverne, MN)- U.S. Rep Tim Walz will speak at Memorial Day events in Nicollet, Mankato and Luverne on Monday, May 28th. Walz will begin in Nicollet, where he will take part in short parade and assembly at 11am. He will then speak in Mankato at the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial on Stoltzman Road beginning at noon. Walz will finish Memorial Day in Luverne, where he will help dedicate the new Rock County Veterans' Memorial at the Rock County Courthouse starting at 3pm.

"Memorial Day is a time to honor the American lives that have been lost, the soldiers that have been injured, the veterans at home and the troops that are currently serving," said Rep. Tim Walz who serves on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. "This Memorial Day, our attention will rightfully be on the nearly 4,000 soldiers who've paid the ultimate price since September 11th. Caring for their families, the soldiers they served beside and the veterans who went before them is the best way to properly memorialize these fallen men and women."
