WHAT: DFL 1st Congressional District Convention

WHERE:  Minnesota State University – Mankato, Centennial Student Union Ballroom

WHEN:  Saturday, April 29th, 10am

Registration of delegates begins at 8:30am.

The convention will be called to order at 10am.

Immediately following adjournment, convention delegates and volunteers will drop Tim Walz for US Congress literature around the Mankato area. 

Press badges will be available at the main registration table, located in the hallway outside the ballroom.

The 1st District convention will be comprised of approximately 175 delegates from across the district.  Minnesota’s 1st includes 22 counties in southern Minnesota stretching from South Dakota to Wisconsin. 

Delegates will conduct party business such as electing officers and district representatives to state party commissions. They will also hear from area legislators and statewide candidates seeking the DFL party endorsement at the state convention in June. The main order of business will be to endorse Tim Walz, who is unopposed for the convention’s endorsement.
