Web-based information isn’t reaching seniors

Only 31 percent of U.S. seniors age 65 and over have ever gone on the Internet. Among seniors with annual household incomes of $20,000 or less, only 15 percent have ever gone online.
Only 51 percent of seniors have heard of http://www.medicare.gov, the official website where information on Part D prescription-drug plans is available.
Only 6 percent of seniors have used http://www.medicare.gov to compare drug plans.
Only 15 percent of seniors say they understand the new Part D benefit “very well.”
