When and where the MN smoking ban applies

Starting Oct. 1, smoking will be forbidden in restaurants, bars, bingo halls, and most other indoor public places and workplaces.

Take it outside: The new law will permit smoking on outdoor patios, but no food or drink service will be allowed. Local communities can impose stricter rules.
