William Polk on Iraq
07/16/2006
Happened to catch William Polk on BookTV on C-SPAN last night re-aired from
6-9-06.
Dear Esteemed Colleagues and fellow DFLers,
I cannot urge strongly enough the need to see this video (including the Q &
A) in order to have a truly have informed opinion about the absolute need to
withdraw from Iraq. He does not advocate a “cut and run” retreat, but
instead a speedy but careful withdrawal.
While this sounds like Amy Klobuchar’s “responsible” withdrawal, William
Polk provides far more information about why such care needs to be taken in
withdrawing and the moral need for the U.S. to say “I’m sorry” however much
it may stick in America’s craw.
This is must-see statesmanship and diplomacy at its very best as well as
vital, need-to-know information for an informed citizenry.
