Dear DFLers,
We thought we were being pretty ambitious when we set a goal of 300,000 volunteer hours. You blew through that first goal in three hours. You hit 500,000 hours later that day.
Then you went and hit 1,000,000.
Just think about that: more than 1,000,000 supporters committing to more than 1,000,000 volunteer hours.
When Hillary first asked for your help last week, we couldn't believe the response. You should have been here at headquarters as we watched the number jump. We were double-checking our math -- we couldn't believe how fast the number was going up.
But 1,000,000 volunteer hours committed is more than just a number -- we are already generating results that will have a real impact on the early primaries and caucuses.
Thousands of people all across the country -- from Kenai, Alaska to Tupelo, Mississippi -- kicked off our 1,000,000 hours of hard work to elect Hillary last night when they attended organizational meetings to meet fellow Hillary supporters and learn more about how to get involved.
This is how we are going to win -- by following through on our commitments and talking to people about Hillary and her vision for change. By working together, making calls, knocking on doors, traveling, and holding meetings, we will make the difference on Election Day.
And although we've reached our goal of 1,000,000 volunteer hours committed, we still need you if you haven't signed up to volunteer yet. If you have any time to spare to help elect Hillary, now's a great time to make a volunteer commitment.
