You Must Read This

Dear Editor,
Yesterday, Hillary took to the floor of the Senate to speak out against the “Military Commissions Act” which redefines the rules for military interrogations and trials of terrorism suspects.
“By allowing this Administration to further stretch the definition of what is and is not torture,” Hillary said, “we lower our moral standards to those whom we despise, undermine the values of our flag wherever it flies, put our troops in danger, and jeopardize our moral strength in a conflict that cannot be won simply with military might.”
I hope you will read the compete text of Hillary’s powerful and eloquent statement in the Senate yesterday explaining her vote to oppose the bill. As she said, “We cannot, we must not, subvert our ideals—we can and must use them to win.”
